Cookie Policy
What we store in your browser and on your device, and what for.
1. What cookies and similar technologies are
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. Alongside them there are equivalent technologies such as local storage (localStorage) or device identifiers in mobile apps.
2. What we use on firychat.com
This site is static and includes no advertising cookies, third-party analytics or profiling. We only use browser local storage to remember your preferences:
- Theme preference (light or dark): stored only if you change it manually, and it never leaves your browser.
- Language preference: stored only if you change language with the switcher, so a later visit to firychat.com takes you straight to that version. If you never use it, we infer the language from your browser settings and store nothing.
3. What we use in the mobile app
The app does not use browser cookies, but it does use technical identifiers essential to its operation:
- Authentication session token, to keep you signed in without logging in again.
- Push notification token, so we can alert you to incoming messages and calls.
- Installation identifier, generated by Google Firebase services, required for message delivery.
- Local preferences such as theme, language and notification settings.
4. How to manage them
In your browser you can clear this site local storage at any time from the privacy settings. The site will then show the default theme and language again.
In the app you can revoke notification permissions from your operating system settings, and remove all local identifiers by uninstalling the app or deleting your account.
5. Changes to this policy
If we add measurement or third-party tools in the future, we will update this policy and, where the law requires it, ask for your prior consent through a banner before activating them.
