Delete your account and data

Option 1: from the app (recommended)

This is the fastest route and does not require writing to us:

• Open Firy Chat and sign in to your account.
• Go to the Profile tab.
• Open Settings.
• Tap Delete account.
• Confirm. You will see a summary of what will be erased before continuing.

Option 2: by email

If you cannot access your account, write to privacy@firychat.com from the email address linked to the account, with the subject "Account deletion".

So we can verify your identity and prevent fraudulent deletions, include your username and the email or phone number you signed up with. We may ask for an additional check. We process the request within a maximum of 30 calendar days.

What gets deleted

Confirming deletion permanently erases:

• Your profile: photo, name, username, bio, date of birth, gender and location.
• Your sign-in credentials and the link to your email or phone number.
• Your conversations, messages, images and voice notes stored on our systems.
• Your activity history, your daily streak and any unused FiryCoins balance.
• Your push notification tokens and your app preferences.
• Your block lists and your in-app contacts.

What we keep, and why

Some information cannot be erased immediately because the law requires us to keep it or because it is needed to protect the community. It is stored in a dissociated form or with restricted access:

• Transaction and invoicing records: up to 6 years, for accounting and tax obligations.
• Safety reports and moderation decisions linked to your account: up to 24 months, to prevent repeat offences.
• Minimal technical and security logs: up to 12 months.
• Backups: overwritten within a maximum of 90 days from deletion.
• Messages you sent to other people: these may remain on their device or inbox, as with any message already delivered.

What happens to your FiryCoins and membership

Any unused FiryCoins balance is forfeited when the account is deleted and is neither refundable nor transferable.

If you have an active Firy Gold membership, cancel it first from your Google Play subscription. Deleting your Firy Chat account does not automatically cancel a subscription managed by the store.

Timing and reversal

For 30 days after the request we keep the account in a pending-deletion state. If you change your mind within that window, write to us from the same email address and we can reverse it.

After those 30 days, erasure is permanent and the information cannot be recovered.

Do not want to delete everything?

If you just need a break or more privacy, there are less drastic options before deleting your account:

• Turn off notifications in the app settings.
• Adjust who can contact you in the privacy options.
• Block specific profiles without affecting the rest of your experience.
• Request a copy of your data by writing to privacy@firychat.com.
